ordinary pound cakes?
Our Pound Cakes are made with only the finest ingredients including a lot of love and attention to detail, taste, and texture. Pure extracts, real butter, fresh eggs, fresh squeezed citrus fruits, superfine sugar, premium creams and flour, and only the finest pecans, walnuts and much more. You CAN tell the difference between a genuine made from scratch cake versus a cake enhanced with cake mix. Each one of our cakes is made from scratch and guaranteed fresh.
Are the Mississippi Pound Cakes full size?
Why would they be any other size? Most bakeries sell pound cakes that are one half the size of a Mississippi Pound Cake for nearly twice our cost. Mississippi Pound Cakes are full size, baked in 10 inch/12 cup size bundt and tube pans. They weigh 4+ pounds and will serve 15+ people generously.
How are the Pound Cakes shipped?
Mississippi Pound Cakes are shipped anywhere in the United States via FedEx 2Day Air or FedEx 2Day Ground. FedEx Standard Overnight is available upon request as well. We ship Monday through Wednesday. We also ship on Thursday, but only for overnight delivery on Friday. So your cake will arrive between 1 and 2 days depending on the option selected.
Mississippi Pound Cakes cannot guarantee shipping/delivery dates because of several situations that can cause unexpected delays. For example, bad weather, incorrect addresses, etc. However, we WILL make our best effort to get your Pound Cake delivered on the date you request.
Please ensure the ship-to address is correct. If an incorrect address is given or an address is changed while the cake is in route, an additional fee will be incurred.
Additional charges apply for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.

Orders received prior to 3PM CST on Thursday will ship overnight for Friday delivery if requested. Orders received after 3PM CST on Thursday will ship the next shipping day...Monday. Don't worry, your cake will be baked fresh right before shipping! That's why you can order with confidence....and anticipation!
Friday
All orders received on Friday will be shipped on the next shipping day...Monday. Once again, your cake(s) will be baked fresh right before they are shipped.
Should I freeze or refrigerate the Pound Cake?
Mississippi Pound Cakes can be left out at room temperature under your cake lid or other air tight storage container for 4 - 6 days. However, to extend the quality of your cake if it’s not leaving fast enough (unlikely!), feel free to refrigerate it for two weeks tightly wrapped. No moisture or flavor will be lost! Mississippi Pound Cakes are Super Moist and will not dry out like most pound cakes.
Mississippi Pound Cakes are great served at room temperature, warmed up a bit, or straight from the refrigerator! They can be frozen for up to six months. After thawing, we guarantee the moistness and full rich flavor will still be there!
For our Pound Cakes made with real fruit (Banana, Strawberry, Blueberry, Pineapple), we recommend refrigerating or freezing them after 3 – 5 days at room temperature.

Is local delivery or pick-up available?
Your cake will be delivered locally via FedEx as well. Good news is...shipment to local addresses is extremely low! Pick-up is not available at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
